Mr. C's Family Restaurant

What a great little family restaurant with warm friendly service, delicious huge meals, tasty deserts, and fantastic prices. Stopped here while on a work trip from Chicago area and was really impressed on what a terrific dining experience I shared with my fellow employees who where just as equally impressed. Wish this family had one out in my area, I would be a regular. I had the no "bun burger" which was a 1/2 Burger smoothered in Chili w/ onion & cheddar cheese. One of my friends had the 1# Burger which huge and cheaper then McD's specialty burger and quality beef. The other friend had a delicious huge Breakfast that she said was cooked perfect and is served all day. We also sampled the pecan pie which was tasty and the banana cream pie which was great, creamy with a Graham Cracker Crust----mmmmm! decent unlimited coffee too.

The fried chicken was cooked to perfection! The mashed potatoes were real. We loved the coleslaw. The Texas toast was a treat! We now have a favorite fried chicken supplier.

Came again for lunch. Got popcorn chicken dinner and a chicken nuggets with cheese curds. The nuggets were just cheap kids nuggets from a freezer bag. No flavor. Curds were very good. Crisp, squeaky, perfect. The shrimp breading was so salty, I had to peel it off and saw the shrimp was only 10% of the item, it was 90% breading. The fries were bland, soft, no salt or seasoning at all. But our drinks, a sweet tea and pepsi, were awesome. Pepsi reminded us of old school soda from a mall arcade in the 90's. The sweet tea was super sweet, very good. This visit was for breakfast, and it was awesome. Very happy with everything. We've been here 4 times now and it's been great. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food has been top quality every time and very consistent. The other patrons are mostly regulars that treat everyone like family. The menu has a bit of everything so you can always find something you're in the mood for. Like many small businesses, they are being hit had by covid. Rising costs of food and a shortage of staff are not however bringing the quality of their delicious food down. The owner has been here every time cooking and entertaining guests and he is genuinely upset about raising some prices. So come on out and show your support for local restaurants!

This place always has fast, friendly service. The cheeseburgers are excellent and we tend to get them every time we visit. Prices are great too and you definitely get your money's worth! Try their curly fries too! Yum!

BEST STACKER MEAL IVE HAD IF I COULD GIVE 10 STARS I WOULD even had left overs for today best gravy and biscuits eggs sbd hashbrowns takes me back to my grandma's Sunday breakfast for sure

They do not disappoint my food once again absolutely delicious and service always amazing.

First time eating here. Small town cafe feel to it.. nothing fancy but clean and spacious. Food was fresh, hot and plentiful. Real mashed potatoes were fabulous! Monica was a friendly gem of a server.. so friendly!! Great food. Great pricrs. We will go back!

The whole family loves Mr. C's! It's a good option for casual dining or pickup orders when you're looking for comfort food that doesn't try to be fancy instead of exactly what you expect every time. Known for its home style cooking, generous portions, reasonable prices and wide variety of options, it's difficult to go wrong at this local favorite. Open 7 am to 7 pm, the tasty all American style breakfast options are served all day. The burgers are good and have a lot of different choices. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We've sampled a good portion of the menu over the years and not found a stinker (speaking of which, they have clean, well maintained bathrooms). The staff is always friendly and Mr. C is a genuinely nice guy.
